What resources do we provide?

We will provide you with text books, work books, question banks and lecturer’s notes when you enrol. In addition, your tutor may also send you some activities (for practice and revision) via email from time to time.

What are the entry requirements?

This is an open qualification and there are no formal qualifications required. However, we would expect you to have completed AAT Level 2/Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping or AAT Level 2/Foundation Certificate in Accounting-both ideally with us. If you have studied with other tuition providers for your AAT Level 2/Foundation, we may take a short test of your current accounting skills and knowledge. We may also request a reference from your previous training provider.

You also need to have good literacy and numeracy skills. This requirement can be supported in many ways, including:

• Your recent GCSE English and Maths grades.
• Any other relevant qualification completed in the UK that can support the levels of literacy and numeracy required.
• Your relevant work experience (including voluntary work) that can support the levels of literacy and numeracy required.
• A set of short numeracy and literacy tests designed by professional agencies that can be taken at our request (at no charge to you).

If you join the LIVE online course you need to have good IT skills to be able to participate and study. We will invite you for a demo session where you will be able to find out for yourself whether you will be comfortable using this new and unique way of learning. You also need to have good IT equipment (a desktop or a laptop) with high speed broadband connectivity.

What is the progression path?

This course is designed to lead to AAT Qualified Bookkeeper (AAT QB) status.
AAT bookkeeping membership offers you the opportunity to demonstrate your bookkeeping skills and expertise to employers, colleagues and clients. You’ll gain professional recognition using the designatory letters AATQB after your name and can even apply to become self-employed and offer bookkeeping services.
